Help needed: What is the quality of scientific writing for peer review?

Directions: Write a meaningful responce to the post. Use at least 70 words. Please, write the word count in parenthesis () after your post.

Hi, all! I am in need of advice. I am writing a paper right now and I am almost done. However, this is my first paper in English. So I was wondering how important the quality of the writing is. It will undergo a peer review process.

I don't mean the quality of the data, but the actual writing. In other words, will a nicely written paper with the same data be more likely to be accepted? How accurate should my grammar be? What about the spelling? Oh and I don't have much writing experience in English so the linking words may be the same: so, and, then....

Can you tell me what to do? Should I make sure there are no mistakes? Can you suggest a site or a service I can use to improve my writing? ANy help will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance XOXOXO

  1. Hello! I think that grammar plays a big role in understanding the written text. Therefore, as far as grammar is concerned, i would advise you to read the text at least once and check it's for mistakes. As for spelling, i wouldn't advise you to stop on it too much, because it makes a small contribution to the understanding of the text. People who know English will understand you in this text. Good luck!(74)

    1. Hello! I don't know if this will help you, but I know a great site where you can check the text for grammar and spelling errors. This is one of the options: https://www.zoho.com/writer/free-grammar-checker.html
The correct construction of sentences is the main key to understanding it. Hope this was helpful to you. Good luck!

  2. By the way, there are still excellent sites for checking text for plagiarism. After all, it is very important that your article does not contain unnecessary borrowing. For example: https://www.quetext.com/

  3. Hello!
As far as I know, your article will be reviewed several times before being accepted for publication. So you don't have to worry about grammar and spelling, they have to be corrected. But if you have colleagues who already have publications, ask them to help review your work. I have a good site where you can see an example of what an article should be.(https://www.mendeley.com/homepage-2-1?interaction_required=true&adobe_mc_sdid=SDID%3D48337623F5D7836A-4DE5F7FA6652EDA9%7CMCORGID%3D4D6368F454EC41940A4C98A6%40AdobeOrg%7CTS%3D1604234233&adobe_mc_ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.yandex.ru%2Fclck%2Fjsredir%3Ffrom%3Dyandex.ru%3Bsuggest%3Bbrowser%26text%3D) I hope you will be okay. Good luck!

  4. Hello! Grammar don't play an important role for the understanding of paper. Therefore, don't worry, mistakes will be corrected. Better think about how you are going to sell your paper to future readers. May the force be with you
